Ke’Ana Lampkins, MSW, LSW

Therapy is a place for introspection and reflection, which can only occur in a safe, non-judgmental environment. From birth, we are constantly being socialized to act, think, and feel in certain ways that can be considered helpful and unhelpful. Sometimes we need an outside source to point out the fallacies that have become truth in our lives that rob us of joy, peace, and, ultimately, our purpose. I would take a client-centered approach allowing clients to inform my practice. I have found, however, that a behavioral approach is helpful, in addition to engaging in narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.

I have had the opportunity to work in social work services and therapy for over eight years. I have extensive training in working with college-age students, youth, and women. I have worked as a youth counselor for the last two years with clients who face issues relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual assault, suicide, and more. In addition, I have also worked specifically with clients who identify as Christian and apply a therapeutic approach to spiritual issues.
