Mia Garcia, LSW

In my perspective, therapy is not “one size fits all.” I enjoy blending therapeutic approaches, tailoring every session to meet each individual’s personalized needs. The main approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, art, and play therapy. I believe therapeutic success is rooted in collaboration and it is my goal to ensure that therapy is a partnership where we work together to accomplish goals in a meaningful and empowering way.

I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults, with a particular interest in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, grief, trauma, and other life stressors. As a trauma-informed clinician, my passion for social justice and mental wellness provides me with a unique perspective, blending culturally and gender-sensitive techniques into my practice.

No matter where you are in your wellness journey, my goal is to meet you there. By creating a warm, welcoming environment, I aim to provide my clients with a safe space to explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop tools to navigate life’s complexities with confidence.

Taking the first steps toward change can be uncomfortable and overwhelming, yet I am here for you every step of the way. I'm happy to offer 15 minute phone consultations to prospective clients.
